Pharmacological Action
The metronidazole contained in this product is an anti-anaerobic and anti-trichomonal drug; clotrimazole is a broad-spectrum antifungal drug that has antibacterial effects on a variety of superficial and deep fungi. Its mechanism of action is to inhibit the synthesis of fungal cell membranes and affect their metabolic processes; chlorhexidine acetate is a quaternary ammonium salt cationic surfactant that has a bactericidal effect on Gram-positive bacteria. The combination of the three drugs has a synergistic effect and is not only suitable for simple fungal, bacterial or trichomonal infections, but also for mixed infections.
